ELLSWORTH-Amelia (Sister) May (Roberts) Davis, died peacefully 1/27/2017 surrounded by her loving family singing one of her favorite songs to her, “You are my Sunshine”.  Amelia was born November 16, 1935 to Clifford and Doris Roberts residents of East Machias.  Amelia lived in Cutler for many years with her husband Roger and their four children.  She enjoyed playing bingo, watching her kids play sports, spending time with family, and creating cherished memories with her four children and wonderful grandchildren.

Amelia is survived by her three boys Jeffrey and wife Kim Davis, Joey and wife Terri Davis, Larry and wife Kelly Davis, and her daughter Lisa and husband Steve Enman.   Her wonderful grandchildren Jamie, Logan, Lukas, Justin, Andrea, Lauren, Erika, Jared and Cadie and her special great-grandchildren, Faye, Bristol, Mia, Kady, Gianna, Arielle, Parker, Chase, Owen, Landon, Avery, Addie, and Landyn.  Amelia is also survived by her sister Shirley Kelsey.

Amelia is predeceased by her husband, Roger Davis; granddaughter, Jennifer Davis; half-brothers, Howard Roberts, Everett Roberts and Clayton Roberts; brothers, Leroy Roberts and Lloyd Roberts, and her half-sister Elsie Gourley.

The visitation will be held Thursday (Feb. 2) 5-7 PM at Bragdon-Kelley in Machias, with a church service Friday (Feb. 3) at 1 PM at the Cutler Methodist Church.

Amelia’s family would like to send a huge THANK YOU to the staff who was with her at Davis Estates in Machias and, most recent, at Courtland Rehabilitation & Living Center in Ellsworth.   We hope you know how much we appreciate all that you did for her.  Each and every one of you will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
