STONINGTON- Alan Hatch Webb, known to many as Allie, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at EMMC in Bangor. He was born on August 23, 1929 in Stonington to the late Harold Webb and the late Vesta (Joyce). He graduated high school and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Allie married the love of his life, Myrna Buckminster on December 10, 1949. For many years, he worked as an electrician. He loved to spend time with his family. Allie was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed horse races. He was a member of the Oddfellows for 70 years; 66 years in Mason’s; over 30 years as a Shriner; 62 years as a member of the IBEW.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna B. Webb; son-Dana Webb; daughters- Debra Quinn, Dawna Thompson (John); grandchildren-Cory Webb, Shaun Webb, Heather Revell (Bryan), Christopher Quinn (Kristin), Diana Smith (Kevin), John Thompson III; great grandchildren- Aiden Revell, Kayla Revell, Mason Webb, and Kora Quinn.
He was predeceased by both of his parents; in-laws- Ethena and Emery Buckminster; Brothers-Russell, Carlyle and Raymond; special son-in-law- Melvin Quinn; baby daughter- Ann Louise.
Visitation will be at 1pm, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Community of Christ Church in Stonington and Allie’s service will begin at 2pm. A graveside committal with military honors will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Stonington.
