Mrs. Minerva Ruth Strout died Monday, November 13, 2017. She was born June 12, 1933.

Mrs. Strout was a native of Milbridge and had made her home here her entire life. She was the daughter of the late Merrill Walter and Edith Willey.

She attended the Milbridge Public Schools. She was employed during her lifetime at various retail outlets around home. Minerva was a longtime member of the Milbridge Congregational Church and has devoted much of her life to the church and it’s works during her membership and has served in various capacities there at the church. She was a very kind soul and was devoted to helping others throughout her lifetime. Her favorite things in life included her devotion the her family and the many friend she amassed over the years. She was married to her husband, Marvin M. Strout of 58 years until his death in 2010.

Survivors include a son Lonnie Beau Strout, Foreman, Arkansas; a daughter Ginger V. Riley, Norwich, Conn.; a brother Walter Willey, Waterville, Me.; a sister Violet Farnsworth, Stuben, Me.; four grandchildren Courtney Strout, Texarkana, Ark., Marvin Strout, III, Brooklyn, Conn., Jessica Strout and Jolette Desrosier both of Norwich, Conn.; three great grandchildren Savanna and Audrey Desrosier and Grace Strout; Son in law Bob Riley of Norwich Conn, daughter in law Gayla Strout of Foreman Ark, daughter in law Ruth Strout of Brooklyn Conn, Jolette’s husband Jeffrey Desrosier of Norwich Conn, and Marvin Strout III’s wife Kari Strout of Brooklyn Conn.

Mrs. Strout was also predeceased by her son, Marvin Strout, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcomed at the Milbridge Congregational church 13 Bridge Street Milbridge ME 04658.
Memorial funeral services for Mrs. Strout will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Milbridge Congregational Church.
