  2. Matt & Emma Simpkin says:

Emma, my two boys and I had the honor and privilege of meeting Verrill on just a few occasions. In the time we spent with him we found him a delightfully perceptive, shrewd, kindhearted, warm and loving family man. We saw him a man rich in, and surrounded by, the love of his extensive and caring family – and he knew it. Reading this obituary revealed the strong, committed, principled man that we had suspected; a man who fought for his country and, after that, fought for his community and for his family. We would have loved to have know him more, and to have listened to the stories. My hope is, when my time comes, I could be measured on the same scale. All our love, The Simpkin’s

Sorry, Craig, to read about the passing of your dad. I knew him only from your Mom’s Drisko side of the family. My “Aunt” Marion Drisko Tucker, Clarence Drisko’s sister spoke of your family when I stayed with her in Glastonbury, CT. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

  6. Bill F says:

My sincere condolences to the family and friends, so sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in knowing that Jehovah God will soon resurrect our dear loved ones (John 5:28-29). Oh how we long for the day when pain, suffering and death will be no more, these former things will have passed away (Revelation 21:3-5).
