HARRINGTON – Glenna Look Robinson, a lifetime Downeast resident, passed away at the age of 77 on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, in Portland.

Glenna was born October 22, 1941, in Jonesboro to Lysten and Elizabeth (White) Look. She was raised in Jonesboro and attended the local schools. While still in high school, Glenna married Kenneth Robinson, and they settled down in Harrington, where they raised their family. Glenna and Kenneth often lobster fished together. She also picked crab meat and was known to twist a very good wreath! The Look family was known for their love of music and sharing that love with others. Glenna was a lead singer in several groups, most notable being The Country Sunshine Band.  Glenna was supportive of her children and grandchildren, attending all their sporting endeavors. She was also a racing mom for Kenny, when he was performing in a stock car. In recent years, Glenna was a huge fan of the Jonesport-Beals Royals, and often commented on how she just loved those kids. She also followed professional sports, including the Red Sox and Celtics. Glenna was known to her family, and many others, as an excellent cook. She personally prepared the food for all family holidays, putting on a special spread at Christmas, including her famous mashed potatoes and tasty biscuits! In addition to cooking, Glenna looked forward to kicking back and watching her favorite Hallmark Channel holiday movies. She will also be remembered by many for her unusual sense of humor – that did not have much of a filter!

Glenna is survived by her sons, Alan, and his wife, Renee, of Harrington, Kevin, and his wife, Kathy, also of Harrington, Kenny, and his wife, Dale, of East Machias, and Arthur, and his wife, Amy, of Addison; grandchildren, Jamie Spencer of Ellsworth, Jeremy Ingersoll of Warren, Katie Robinson-Call of Harrington, Meghan Newquist of Machias, Brittany Robinson of Jonesport, Ashley Robinson of Harrington, Maegan Alley of Bangor, Peter Robinson of East Machias, and Adam Robinson of Addison; and great-grandchildren, Kiley Robinson of Harrington, Jasmine Walter of Machias, Aden Call of Harrington, Finnegan Spencer of Ellsworth, Connor Milliken of Bangor, Kenleigh Walter of Machias, and Wyatt King of Jonesport.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth Robinson; parents; brothers, Welsley Look, Jimmy Look, and Alan Look; and sister, Charlotte “Lottie” Geel, who taught Glenna to sing.

A funeral service is scheduled to begin at Noon, Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at the Milbridge chapel of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes, which is in charge of arrangements. A committal ceremony will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Harrington.
